Circle Grid Pattern Overlay Set

1. Open an image that is 20 pixels by 20 pixels transparent RGB 72 ppi. Magnify your image to about 700 % or more.

2. Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 20 pixels by 20 pixels

3. Click Edit => Stroke

• width 2 pixels
• color black
• location = center
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

4. Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "circle 20"

5.  Your second Pattern:

Turn this layer off. Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 20 pixels by 20 pixels

Click Edit => Stroke

• width 1 pixels
• color black
• location = inside
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "circle 20-A"

6. Your Third Pattern

Open an image that is 18 pixels by 18 pixels transparent RGB 72 ppi. Magnify your image to about 700 % or more.

Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 18 pixels by 18 pixels

Click Edit => Stroke

• width 1 pixels
• color black
• location = inside
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "circle18"

7. Fourth Pattern

Open an image that is 16 pixels by 16 pixels transparent RGB 72 ppi. Magnify your image to about 700 % or more.

Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 16 pixels by 16 pixels

Click Edit => Stroke

• width 1 pixels
• color black
• location = inside
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "Circle 16"

8. Fifth Pattern

Open an image that is 14 pixels by 14 pixels transparent RGB 72 ppi. Magnify your image to about 700 % or more.

Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 14 pixels by 14 pixels

Click Edit => Stroke

• width 1 pixels
• color black
• location = inside
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "Circle 14"

9. Sixth Pattern

Open an image that is 12 pixels by 12 pixels transparent RGB 72 ppi. Magnify your image to about 700 % or more.

Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 12 pixels by 12pixels

Click Edit => Stroke

• width 1 pixels
• color black
• location = inside
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "Circle 12"

10. Seventh Pattern

Open an image that is 10 pixels by 10 pixels transparent RGB 72 ppi. Magnify your image to about 700 % or more.

Insert a new layer. Select your elliptical marquee tool. Set the options for

• feather = 0
• antialias checked
• style = fixed size
• 10 pixels by 10 pixels

Click Edit => Stroke

• width 1 pixels
• color black
• location = inside
• mode= normal
• opacity= 100%

Click Select=>All. Click Edit=> Define Pattern. Name it "Circle 10"

 

11. Click Edit => Preset manager. Set the preset manager to Patterns up top. Hold your shift key down and select all your circle patterns. Then click Save as set. Name it circlegridspatterns.pat.

12. Use these patterns by filling areas on their own layer with the pattern. they will tile. You can colorize them, distort them, transform them etc.
