In this tutorial we well learn how to create a simple background
glow to text like in the show the X-Files.
1. Create a new image 300x300 with a black background.
2. now select the text tool
and set it to the following properties with the background set to
. (Note:It does not matter what font you use for this tutorial)
Center the letter X in your image and go to Layers>>Convert
To Raster Layer. Your image should now look like this.
3. Now go to Effects>>Blur>Gaussian Blur and set the
radius to 10.
Repeat the above but without adding the blur effect and with
a black X not a green one.
