1. Resetting Illustrator 10 - Delete or rename your AIPrefs file located in one of the following locations:

  • Win 98-ME
    • c:\windows\application data\adobe\adobeillustrator10\AIprefs
  • Win NT
    • c:\winnt\profile\username\application data\adobeillustrator10\AIprefs
  • Win2K-Win XP
    • C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 10\AIPrefs

 

2. Identifying the Main Areas Of Illustrator 10

When you open up Illustrator on your computer, you will see the following parts of your work area. Locate the following areas of Illustrator::

  • Menus
  • Toolbox
  • Palettes
  • Image Area
  • Artboard
  • Scratch area
